Terms of Service
Terms and conditions governing the use of CountyScore.com.
Last updated: February 2026
By accessing and using CountyScore ("countyscore.com" or "the Site"), you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Informational Purposes Only
All data, scores, rankings, and content on CountyScore are provided for informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, real estate advice, or relocation guidance.
County scores are derived from publicly available federal data and reflect general statistical patterns. They are not guarantees of any individual experience in a given county. Scores are composite measures meant to provide a high-level comparison — they cannot capture every nuance of life in a community.
No Warranties on Accuracy
CountyScore makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any data or content presented on the Site.
Our data is sourced from multiple federal agencies, including:
- U.S. Census Bureau (American Community Survey)
- FBI Uniform Crime Reporting Program
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
- FEMA National Risk Index
- National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)
- EPA Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS)
Each of these agencies has its own data collection methodologies, reporting timelines, and limitations. Data may be delayed by one or more years depending on the source. County boundaries, names, and FIPS codes are subject to change by the Census Bureau.
Verify with Local Sources
Users making decisions about where to live, purchase property, start a business, or relocate should independently verify information with local government offices, county assessors, school districts, law enforcement agencies, health departments, and other relevant authorities. CountyScore is a starting point for research, not a substitute for due diligence.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape or crawl the Site using automated tools, bots, or scripts beyond what is permitted by our
robots.txtfile - Commercially redistribute CountyScore data, scores, or rankings without prior written permission
- Misrepresent CountyScore data or scores as your own original work
- Interfere with the Site's operation, security, or availability
